About Us
In the early 2000s, three trainees at a Viennese hotel consultancy, Michael, Florian and Christian, began a friendship built around a shared ambition: creating hotels that feel alive, tell stories and bring people together.
Over the years, they gained experience across consulting, development and operations. In 2017, they joined forces with Hamburg-based hotelier and entrepreneur Kai Hollmann to bring Superbude to Vienna: a project that became a success despite launching during the pandemic.
Their vision continued to grow. In 2023, they found the opportunity to create The Companion at Westbahnhof: a hotel designed to be more than just a place to stay. A place where travellers experience Vienna, locals rediscover their city, and hospitality feels personal, thoughtful and full of life.
Opening in 2026, The Companion marks the next chapter in a story that began more than 20 years ago.
